Ohio trappers are invited to participate in a special drawing on Saturday, Oct. 13, for public land beaver and river otter trapping opportunities, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. A list of public land trapping opportunities available at this lottery is posted at wildohio.gov under Controlled Hunting and Trapping Events. Social media can be the downfall of many a proud poacher. Troy Reimund who is the Henry County Wildlife Officer was going through the deer harvest data base when he discovered that a man from Wood County shot a buck in Henry county without first buying a deer permit. Reimund easily found pictures on the mans Facebook page of the deer as well of selfies hunting after harvesting the buck without a second tag.
